Bright and Bold

Welcome

I love trying new techniques, and I learnt this one at a craft show some time ago.  It uses Opalite Reflective Interference ink pads on glossy card stock. This time I used black for my base.

I mounted this feature panel onto an orange handmade paper,

embossed the sentiment in white onto vellum which I tore to fit,

and this was layered onto an embossed blue paper, and a slightly darker blue card base.

Ribbon and pearls were added to finish the card.

Awesome marbling on your centerpiece. This would make a wonderful Halloween card as well as the beautiful birthday card you've done. I've got some of these pads, don't know this technique. Is there something on youtube showing the how-to? It's really stunning Maxine. Your blue & orange really pop! TFS & Hugs

I only ever had one opalite pad and I never got very far with it. Your panel however, is beautiful, and you have made a lovely card with it. Kate x

This is really something... I would never have guessed it was made using ink pads. It's gorgeous and I love those pretty colours all swirled together.

Wow! That really is quite a remarkable technique! I love the smoky-magical-mystical swirls you created. I also thought your idea to add pearls to the ribbon was so clever. I've never seen anything quite like this and am so glad you shared it with us. I feel very inspired! Thank you for letting us see this beautiful creation through the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!

I love that ink- and know the pictures do not do the shimmer justice! I love the way you coordinated the colors and love the vellum sentiment. Beautiful!
