Oh Christmas Tree

Welcome

This months challenge at Creative Craft Cottage Challenge #30 has some inspirational pictures as a starting point for the Christmas theme.

I took the top right corner and translated it to the background on the white panel, after I had clear embossed the (now retired) Kiwistamping Christmas Tree image.

After I had painted it, I placed the card between clean copy paper and ironed the embossing off, which gives an almost sunken (3-D) look to the image when it is removed.

The ribbon was wound twice around the panel, forming a crossing towards one side, over which I glue-dotted the wee bow.

The corners of the white panel were rounded and then it was mounted over the red base to complete the card.

  5. Maxine, this is so clean & so bright & cheery. Love this CAS and I need to try this 'reverse emboss' technique. It was in a Jennifer McGuire online class I took, and I never have given it a try. It looks fab on this terrific card. Well done! TFS & Hugs
