Shaded Blue Sympathy

Welcome

Firstly I would love to welcome two new followers, Suchi from Suchi's Cardstock
and Liz from Crafty Sunflower.
Please pop over and leave them some love.

I seem to be in a phase of needing sympathy cards, so I decided to get ahead and make some to have on hand, and this is one of the results.

I masked off the space near the bottom of the card and sponged and blended Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Denim DI's.

I waited for the panel to dry, then sponged London Fog ink through a stencil.

The sentiment (from ODBD) was white embossed on one end of the panel,

Three flat back pearls finished the card, and I am very happy with it.

This is such a lovely card Maxine. Like everyone, I hate doing sympathy cards and always put it off. This is so pretty though... simple and refined and just right.

A lovely simple card. The inking is perfect. I never get such good results with my stencils! It is sad when we keep needing Sympathy cards, but I guess it is all a part of life. Well done for thinking ahead. I don´t always feel like making one just when it is needed. Kate x

Oh it's hard to think of making these cards, Maxine, but this will be a beauty to have in the collection or to receive - stunning back ground work and just a visual that gives this card a pop. And of course, your signature embossing :) Quite lovely from top to bottom! Blessings!

I think this is so pretty- love the white embossing on the colored panel- very striking and elegant too. Sympathy cards are never easy to make and a great idea to have some on hand.
