Metal and Flowers

Welcome

Yesterday I made this card using a new to me technique that Karen Hasheck uses, but I altered it (unintentionally, put it down to stress) and did not put the Versamark ink on the embossing folder, rather I simply dropped the embossing powder over the embossed surface and heated it from behind....

After preparing the base panel, I decided to cut the flower from double sided paper and reverse the layers to give definition to the petals, and also curled them to give some dimension.

I added a wee bit of the ribbon under the brad before securing the layers together.

The sentiment was cut using a S/B die, out of the green side of the paper, and then it was mounted over a pink and cream layers of card before adhering to the double embossed panel.

The final detail was a length of ribbon and a bow added to the base of the panel before being mounted to the pink base.

  21. That is a super crd and thank you for all the details of how you made it. I haven't done double embossing for quite a while now, something I must remember to use.
I hope that making your crafty things helps relieve some of the stress you mention, I remember cake icing helping me a long time ago.
Sending love and Blessings to you and DH
