Butterflies, Sequins and Sparkle

Welcome

I really enjoyed making this card - it was inspired by a card I saw on Instagram that I decided to CASE - unfortunatley I cannot recall who made the original, but it had creatures, not butterflies as the featured stamping in the circles.

The original had the three circles cut out and the remainder of the piece of card laid over the base, with water colour and images peeping through from the base layer.

I changed it so the circles sat on a white layer, and used Inka Gold to add colour and shimmer to them, then adhered the butterflies, cut from glitter card on top, and mounted the circles on foam.

The final details were the embossed sentiment and the sequins.

The feature panel was layered over a floral paper and then adhered to the tent opening base.

  18. So beautiful! I always shy away from all things metallic and glittery, but you always make everything look so elegant when you use them! The staggered panels with the lovely colours is a wonderful design and those butterflies are so gorgeous! Love the stitched panel and the floral paper backing too. A touch of bling to complete the elegance, love it Maxine! hugs :)
