Bag cards

Welcome once again - thank you for visiting, and thank you so much for all your warm wishes regarding my health.  Thankfully I am very much on the mend after a few hiccups, and loads of vitamin C and Olive Leaf extract!

The other day I was challenged to make cards for a couple of young girls - not once but twice, as two of the customers I make cards for send cards to these girls.  Thus I chose a different shape so they would look totally different.

The knitting bag pattern I used is a freebie from
Creative Mind Of Sylvie's blog - thank you Sylvie for your generosity.

I reduced the original pattern as these needed to be posted, and varied them by using different papers to cover them, although I used the labels 20 die and the same sentiment stamp on both.  The papers were from a packet I bought some years ago from a chain store.

To further add individuality to the cards I used different elements to decorate the inside.

The butterfly was stamped on orange card and embossed using blue embossing powder, and a blue rhinestone added to the body.

The embellishment on this one was made by stamping a wee stamp (from the retired Layers Of Color set, Architectural Blocks) onto pre-punched squares, and then tea bag folded them into a kite shape. A technique that Michelle has used a lot recently inspired me to try this.

I finished the card with a magnet on the inside of the tag and the outside of the bag, and a coloured rhinestone on the outside of the tag.  The inside was finished with a white liner to be written on.
