Green Birthday

I am still with family, but thought I would blog this card that I made before we left home. It was made for a very dear friend who loves green.

This card started with some 'scraps' I had on my desk - the dp, which IRL is dark and light green abstract, was already embossed with the Floral Fantasy folder by Provo Craft, and I cut the edge using some Spellbinders Edgabilites I won as blog candy from the lovely
Nina B, who designed them.

This was laid over some ribbon and mounted onto some sparkly green card.

The sentiment was stamped, embossed and cut using a labels 10 die, and sponged before the die was removed.

The butterflies were punched from the sparkly card and had pearls added.

I added a wee bow of the ribbon at the top of the sentiment - the sparkle of the ribbon shows a little here, but IRL it really catches the light.

The pearl flourish was the final touch. In this image you can see some of the true colour of the dp.
