Simple Biplane

Welcome again.

I needed a masculine card, and the is is the result.

The mid-blue background was supposed to be a pearlised card, but it had little evidence of that, so I sprayed it with silver glimmer mist before I started the rest.

I stamped and silver embossed the aeroplane, and decided that I would just add some blue 'sky' and not colour the plane at all.  I sponged the blue on with the image still in the die.  The image panel was then mounted over a dark blue oval.

To embellish the card I added some silver brads to two corners, and to the mid-section of the propeller.  In the above photo you can see the glimmer that I added.

The sentiment was embossed, and just as I finished I put my thumb on it while it was still hot - and thought I had wrecked it - I rapidly added more powder and heated it again and voila - all was rescued!!
