Butterfly Birthday Card

Welcome
I have unfortunately neglected my blog for the past week as I have had family, including grand children, visiting and life has been chaotic - and still is as we have just had more visitors arrive today...

This card was made for an Aunt who recently turned 80.

I started with some design paper sent to me as part of a RAK from Grace of Th-INK-ing of You

The butterflies were stamped and embossed on bright coloured magazine paper that had been glued onto thin card.

The front of the card was finished with some twine, a cardboard button and kindy glitz, and a butterfly charm.

On the base of the card the 80 was computer generated and printed in yellow, before being covered in gold glitter, cut and a gold pen run around the inside of the die before removing it.  It was mounted on a dotted circle that had green ink sponged through it before the die was removed. The edge was cut with a MS punch, and the sentiment gold embossed.

The flower is one from my stash, brand unknown.

The final product, from two angles, finished with a few rhinestones to support the easel when it was stood up.

Thank you for visiting - any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated
May your day be blessed.

  6. Your embossing skills are AMAZING, Maxine. I'm always so impressed with your techniques. The inside of this card is beautiful, and something I often neglect. It looks so nice when you take the time to do the inside. I always enjoy mine more when I do them up nicely as well. You really did a beautiful job on this!
Thanks for sharing with us, and have a BLESSED WEEK!
