Arrows

 Welcome

I have made another card using the same Close To My Heart set that has the feather stamps.

As soon as I saw this stamp I started thinking of this design, so I had a play using various inks and some gold embossing, ensuring that the embossed arrows went in the opposite direction to the others.  This panel was mounted over a green layer.

I embossed the sentiment (an old Hero Arts Stamp) and die cut it, and then layered it.

The background looked too plain, so I embossed it with the herringbone design, but the embossing did not quite reach to the top of the red layer of card, so I used some creativity to hide it by using twine and a button with a double bow.

Thank you for visiting - any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated.
May your day be blessed.

  7. Hi Maxine! Thanks for stopping by my blog, and thank you SO MUCH for praying for Audra. It means so much.
I love the feathers! I have some cool new wooden feathers that I want to use, but I haven't yet. I'm such a scaredy-cat when it comes to trying something new or different. I will really try to use those feathers this week...maybe on my card for WAW. What do you think? You have definitely inspired me. Thanks again for visiting me blog, and also for playing along with us again this week at Word Art Wednesday. You are such a blessing to me.

  8. Hello Maxine...Stopping by to say a big thank you for the wonderful comment on the post I made today. I am grateful to God to be able to share the scripture with you and so glad God has already placed the same scripture I shared in your heart to read. See, I know that it's no coincidence. The Lord wants us to take the Gospel to every corner of the world and tell the people about it. I believe we can only do so if we have complete understanding (in context) as we study His Word. Anyway, this card of yours is so bright and happy. Love, love, love the crispy embossing...God bless, always!

  17. What a clever design with those arrows. I would not have had the 1st clue as to what to do with this stamp! It's gorgeous, and wonderful the way you've used the different colors & directions. What really boosted this one into overdrive, IMHO, is the chevron embossing on that brilliant background. Fabulous. Great save on your design too, with your inspired design idea! Beautiful card, Maxine. TFS & Hugs

  18. Back with a different DT hat on. Just want to add that I love the gold embossing you incorporated here. It really gave your card an edge. Thanks for blessing us with your card at our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. Leaving you with God's Word of encouragement in Psalm 16:8 which says, "I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken." God bless always.
