Borders or Punches and Thank You

Welcome

Life here has been hectic with helping family move - we are pleased to see them back resident in our town, and loving having them so much closer, but time to blog has been minimal.

The card I have made is for the
CCC Digi Creations Challenge #10
A digi with borders or punches
who are donating three digi images of their choice for the winner of the challenge.

Oak Pond Creations also supplied the fabulous images for the design team to use.  I used the beautiful Strawberries image for my card.

I folded the base of the card slightly off centre, punched the edge of some copy paper to use as a lining, and adhered it so that the punched edge showed against the offset edge.

I also punched the edge of the patterned paper, placing it on the same side as the white punched edge to add emphasis to the design.

I coloured the image with chalks, and then mounted it over a die cut doily, French Pastry by Cheery Lynn  using some really bulky glue dots that have given some subtle dimension to the card.

I finished the card with some ribbon and a sentiment panel, punning on the bunch of strawberries.

The final detail was to glue some gold micro beads on the fruit for the seeds.
A wee touch whimsy for the fun of it.

  1. Beautifully done Maxine. The background is reminiscent of a table cloth and doily palce setting. Great coloring of the image. - Jim
