Welcome
Although it is late Autumn here in the antipodes, I really enjoyed colouring up these roses from a Just Rite set of stamps sent to me in a RAK by Shelly
The image was coloured with prismacolor pencils, and the frame with gold pens, then the image panel was mounted on a floral spellbinders die cut.
I secured the ribbon on the card and tried to make a bow for the 'crossing', but it would not
co-operate. I then found this charm, and adhered it with a glue dot. Problem, how to make it look tied on - I used some pearle thread, but it was fun and games to get it looking o.k. Moral of the story, sort the charm and adhere before securing the ribbon!
The final detail was the sentiment, (a long time ago, unmarked purchase) embossed on the patterned paper, which came from my stash - again I am uncertain of it's origin.
I am happy with this card.

An extremely pretty card, Maxine! The roses are beautiful! I love the colours and the little rose charm. It would be perfect for our May challenge at Stamping Sensations as our theme is "Flower Power", so do link it there as well. http://sirstampalotchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/may-challenge-flower-power.html

fabulous Maxine. The flowers are simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI should think you would be happy with it. This is a beautiful card. You colour so well with your pencils. I am never quite happy when I do it, so I go back to my copic markers again. Must try harder! It seems odd that you are approaching Autumn just as our summer finally kicks in.!
