Welcome
I am going out of town for a day or so to a craft fair, so if you do not see me commenting on the blogs I usually visit, I am not ignoring you :-)
- just enabling myself!!
I made this card using the instructions and a stamp that came in (I think) the January edition of the Craft Stamper magazine
The background was stamped with Versamark ink using bubble wrap, and clear embossed.
The panels behind the flowers were created with orange and pink acrylic paints, then the complementary stamp was stamped and white embossed .
The sentiment is from Kiwistamping.
All the edges were sponged with blue ink.
This second card is one I made with my class. The background to the daisy stamp was distress ink applied directly from the pad to the patterned paper.
The sentiment stamp is from the (now defunct) Craft's Meow.
The edges on this one were also sponged with the same distress ink as I used on the backgrounds.
These are not my usual style of card, but it was good to stretch myself.
I am linking these to:
Thank you for visiting my blog - may your day be blessed.
Any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated.
Beautifully done Maxine. Love the color choices.

You stretched yourself perfectly, Maxine, and you are brave to do so! These are both vibrant and textural delights!! I love them! Thank you for your birthday wishes to me last week! I'm so sorry to be so tardy in thanking you, but I'm having a serious flare of my Crohn's Disease, so I'm not able to be on the computer as much as I normally am. I hope you had a blast today at the fair and enabled yourself from door to door!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteMaxine, all of these are just wonderful. Love the colors, and that pretty floral stamp really shows splendidly against these fabulous background. Love the idea of using the bubble wrap and Versamark. What terrific texture. Have fun at the craft show. Hope you find lots of fun new goodies. And yes, the Zig brush markers are _very_ nice, and especially so if like me, one is w/c challenged! Big hugs & TFS.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Especially love the hot colors on the orange one too! This may not be your 'usual' style, but you've aced the technique, that's for sure. Love the idea of the bubble wrap background, and keep forgetting to try it, after seeing one of your earlier cards. It looks very Bokeh as well. The pretty daisy silhouette was the perfect stamp to show off these gorgeous backgrounds. Have fun, and I'm sure you won't buy anything at the craft show, that all of us won't love! Big hugs. TFS
