Welcome
I had fun in the studio yesterday, which included 'playing;' with some of my new stuff :-)
I used this dahlia stamp and leaves from a discontinued line, stamping in Espresso ink and colouring with chalks. The sentiment was also stamped in Espresso.
The blossom was mounted using foam tape to give some dimension.
The butterflies were cut in white, the bodies in kraft, and covered in Wink of Stella - my first use of WoS and I think I may be addicted.....
Total glitter with no fuss, Bliss!
The white layer had the corners rounded and the edges swiped over a pink stamp pad, and was then mounted over the pink base, a few pink sequins added and it was finished.

Wink of Stella is awesome isn't it!! Your butterflies look fabulous! This card will be treasured!
ReplyDeleteLovely flower image and super coloring with the chalks. Very soft & great shading. Glad to see another WoS addict. The glimmer looks great in your close up photos. There's also Wink of Luna which looks stunning too, but is opaque. Looks like enamel when you use it with a gold outline sticker on black (or dark) cardstock. Just doing my bit to enable. Great card - glad to see you are able to craft again. TFS & Hugs

Leaving you with an awesome inspiration from the Scripture in Hebrews 3:6 and it says, "But Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast." Have an awesome week.

A beautiful Sympathy card Maxine - I have always loved that flower - Espresso Truffle is one of my favourite inks to stamp with too! {{{hugs}}}
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card love the butterflies and the simplicity of the project. Thank you for taking part in Crafts Galore Encore Challenge ' Anything goes'. Hugs, Monika DT
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card Maxine and I love that flower! The butterflies are so pretty and a perfect add to this card. For obvious reasons, sympathy cards are difficult to do but you did a grand job on this. I also use the Truffle ink... in fact, I stopped using the black for stamping images and always use Espresso Truffle because it isn't as harsh as the black.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful Sympathy card!
