Five Layered Flower and Sparkles

Welcome

This card started one way, and after an interruption turned in a completely different direction, but I am happy how it turned out.

I started by spraying some purple smooches onto the cream card - this was a NBUS that had hidden at the back of my desk for I don't know how long, oops!!

I then cut the five sizes of this flower with a Nellie Sneddon die set I bought last month, painted it with some glitter paint and painted the purple dots onto the petals.  Once I stacked them I decided there were too many layers, so just put three in the stack, and popped tho other two randomly on the card.

This panel had been cut for another project, and then discarded.  It is a piece of card that I was teaching home made backgrounds on, using bubble wrap and punch waste with two shades of DI.

I wrapped three lengths of ribbon around it after stamping the sentiment onto it, and embossing it with some Metallic Medley ep. See the next photo for the wonderful sparkle it gives off.

After assembling the elements on the cream layer, I decided to place it slightly 'off' on the purple, and pierce the left side and top edge of the base to echo the stitching on the die cut.

  12. Maxine I am 100% there with you on Halloween cards etc...I personally detest them being a Christian and they represent evil to me. I hate the skulls and coffins and as I have recently lost my mum I can't accept that time of year. I am in many DT which expect us to do images of theirs and I try and pick the least meaningful ones that represent the occasion... I do understand what you said so no offence....xxx

  14. I LOVE smooch spritz, but don't use it nearly as often as I should!! Don't you love projects that change direction half way through but end up turning out so well. Thanks for joining us at Southern Girls for our flower power challenge!
