My First Shaker Card

 Welcome

I took the plunge this past weekend and made my first shaker card - and I must admit I am pleased with it.  I just hope that my three year old neighbour is too!


I stamped the Bentley Bear image (a freebie stamp from a magazine) with espresso ink, and coloured him with chalks, fussy cut him and mounted him on foam tape.


The greeting was stamped with a clear stamp that I bent on the block before stamping to form a curve to echo the oval shaker element.


I trimmed the sentiment freehand before mounting it - the shaker is filled with assorted sequins as the recipient is young and (hopefully) will like the various colours and shapes.

    BRILLIANT. love this gorgeous creation and it's cute image surrounding. I love shaker cards too and they look much more simple to make than what they are, well done. .xx

    This is so cute! Great job with the shaker technique! I really like shaker cards. I've only ever made one...and I wasn't totally pleased with it...I think you have inspired me to give it another try! Hope you have a great week.

    Way To Go! I bought that Fuse tool some time ago, and STILL have not had the courage to attempt a shaker card. I'd say you rocked it on your first one! I think the 3yr old will love it with all the moving colorful sequins, the cute teddy and the polka dot card front. You did a super job on this one. TFS & Hugs

    I love this sweet image- you have colored it so beautifully with the chalks. The shaker is so fun- I bet the little one will be a shaking it too! Love the curved sentiment- how cool. I really enjoy all of the techniques you try : )
