Sparkling Owls - Yup, Sparkling Owls

Welcome - I am so glad you have visited.

Sometime ago I made a DT card with this image from Aurora Wings, and decided to keep the card for a birthday later in the year  - then another family member saw it, and loved the image, so I made a second card for her.

I coloured the image with water colours this time, and added WoS and glitter , and some metallic confetti stars.

I mounted it over a dark green card which I had embossed with a branch e/f and letter pressed it using Delicata Gold ink.

The sentiment was embossed in white over black, cut to a banner shape and mounted over some foam tape.

This photo shows the glitter and gleam of the WoS and Kindy Glitz.

  3. The embossing gives me the appearance of being in the woods, then the lovely leaves , shining stars and all the sparkle make this a fun Birthday card Maxine. 12. I just love that image too. In fact I think I bought it when I last saw it posted, probably on your blog, but I have yet to use it. Although this is a take on the saying 'See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil', it still reminds me of my all time favourite children's book - Owl babies. I read it to my boys, and to all the children in my nursery, and by the time I had grandchildren, I could tell it without using the book, thought the pictures were too cute to miss. Anyway, you have made a super owl card. I love it. Kate x

  13. Maxine, it's a wonderful image, and your w/c is fabulous. Love that you've mirrored the image leaves with the embossing, which looks impressive with the gold gilding around the embossing. Great work. TFS & Hugs.
