A Silver Tree and Sympathy

Welcome

My apologies for being MIA this past week or more, but life has not given me much time to craft or blog.

I started this by cutting a piece of thin card with a large oval die, and using both the negative and positive die cuts, firstly sponging around the positive cut with Memento London Fog ink.

I then cut masks and sponged the background with distress inks, using the negative die cut as the mask for the outside. Once that was dry, (assisted by the heat gun), I stamped and embossed the tree in silver, being careful to stamp just one side of the base of the tree within the 'frame'.

The final stamp was the sympathy sentiment, also embossed with silver.
This panel was then mounted over a subtle silver layer, then a gray marled cream base - this is a card with a recycled base that I buy from a local printer.
