Welcome
I made this card for Mister D for his birthday. I started with a piece of loosely watercoloured paper that I had sitting on my desk.
The branch was stamped using an old stamp from Foot Long Stamps. The owl is one from a Unity Stamps grab bag I won, coloured with watercolour pencils and then blended with water. The eyes were touched with glossy accents for some dimension and interest.
The greeting was cut with a s/b die in gold paper and mounted over another two layers cut from white card.
The image panel was mounted with two strips of gold paper either side, then to personalize the card for DH, I stamped and clear embossed some hearts in the background.
The final details were the rhinestones at either end of the sentiment.

This is so cool! Your watercoloring is just fab, and I like that you've combined the owl and branch to create the perfect image. Adding the graduated sizes of rhinestones to set off this very dimensional sentiment was a great design touch. It's lovely! TFS & Hugs

Hi Maxine! I hope you're having a great day. I'm spending the day with my son, Andrew. We went and got a Starbucks this morning and the car in front of us had picked up our tab. I praise God for the good people out there, and I pray for the hateful ones to find Jesus and find peace. I just wanted to say HELLO and to let you know how much all your sweet and encouraging comments on my blog mean to me. You're definitely my biggest cheerleader, and I praise God for you. I wish we didn't live so far apart, it would be so much fun to create cards together, and you could teach me how to quit messing up on my embossing and stamping. Some day I will get it down. OH....I actually did stamp and emboss a beautiful card that turned out nicely. If I have your email, I will email it to you so that you can see it. I was SO pleased to finally not mess up my embossing. I usually give up. Thanks again for always being there to encourage me. I appreciate you, Maxine, and I pray that God will bless your days as you have blessed mine. Hugs to you from across the ocean.
