Black, White, and a Motorbike

Welcome

I was challenged by a friend  to enter the Double D Challenge of Black and White ... and this is the result.

I started with the image - one of my originals, by R & R Pocock, (1997)!!

Inked it up with Memento Graphite Black ink and stamped with a piece of firm foam underneath to get a good impression.

I then cut that, and the next three layers, with graduating sizes of M/B stitched rectangles.

The sentiment was stamped on a snippet of black card and white embossed.

I finished the card sith some black rhinestones, and was very pleased with it.

I am linking it to:
(Optional twist - Monochrome)

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog - may your day be blessed

  26. Fabulous card Chris! I just love the black and white, it works so well for a masculine card! The motorcycle image is fantastic, and your use of the stitched frames in layers really creates a fun showcase piece in the centre! The ribbon is amazing too, and the bling is perfectly placed! Wonderful creation!! sending hugs :)

  27. It is a perfect masculine card. I love the arty look of the b&white rectangles, and with the stitching on each of the mats, really adds such a lot of texture. Looks quite like it should hang on a museum wall. You got a very distinct stamped image on the cycle too, and it's so detailed! TFS & Hugs

  28. I love black and white and I do like the way you have used the cardstock to frame that lovely stamped image. I like bicycles so this motorbike is not too far removed from one and it looks really nice. A lovely image and one which must come in useful for male cards.
Am in America at the moment so my desk will not change for a couple more weeks but I will try to find something different to post next time.
    Take care, both of you.
    Hugs and Blessings, Neet xx
