A Slightly Dotty Birthday

Welcome
I made this card for an older woman, and decided that a more subtle colour scheme would be appropriate for her.

I started by stamping the leaves from the Designed By Ryn Background Stamps onto some DCWV card from their Metallic Stack in Ice, using Bottle dye ink.  The panel was cut with an ODBD die from the Lavish Layers set.

The sentiment from Montarga Stamps (a NZ firm) was silver embossed and die cut using an ODBD die from the Filigree Frames set.

These were mounted over the card base which had a layer of paper from a DCWV Old World Stack adhered to it

The finishing touches were the washi tape with the silver dots, and the 'flowers' made from two punched layers, using  Stampin' Up punches.

  8. This is a lovely card - I particularly like the pretty dies you have used and the sentiment script is so finely detailed. None of the crisp outline has been compromised by embossing - beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Anne xx

  18. It's so lovely & elegant, & I love the pink and cream colors too. That frame around the wonderful Ryn leaf branches is one that I've not seen before. I like the filigree cut-outs, adds just the right touch of graciousness to the image design. Also love that marvelous calligraphy sentiment done in silver embossing. Sending prayers & Hugs. TFS
