Daisy Doodles SunBEEm

Welcome

The other week I printed off and coloured some digi images that I have had for ages - this one (and it is one of several) was in the file labeled Daisy Doodles, but I cannot find anywhere to link you to the original source. I suspect what I have were freebies.

I coloured the image with pencils,  diecut around it and sponged with a pale blue ink before removing the die.  This was matted over a cork die cut, which was sponged with espresso ink.

The image has lots of whimsical wee details like this bee, with his glamorous Kindy Glitz wings,

and the snail on the side of the pot, also sharing the glamour with a glittery trail,

To finish the card I stamped and gold embossed the sentiment, cut it using a labels die and threaded it on gingham ribbon.

A gingham bow was added to the stem of the flower, and embellished with a rhinestone

Clear rhinestones were added around the card, and it was assembled on a multi coloured polka dot background, then layered it onto the orange base.

Rose Sympathy

Welcome

The majority of my cards are fairly CAS, and I particularly like sympathy cards to be CAS.

I started with a piece of silver card, and embossed it with a Cuttlebug folder It is an old one, called Ironworks if I remember rightly.  I discovered when making this, that if the folder has a geometric design on it, I can lengthen the embossed pattern to cover the full length of the fractionally longer A4 cardstock that we work with.

I stamped and silver embossed the rose and sentiment  on snippets of card, then die cut them using Memory Box Stitched Rectangles.

I painted the rose using Semco mica based watercolour paints

I added a small bow to the stem of the rose once it was painted

The card was finished with a sentiment on the inside - stamped in black ink.
It is straight - just that the card was on an angle when I photographed it.

Encouraging Nail Polish!!

Welcome,

Do you like my blog's new look?  I am loving it.  The beautiful Loll from
Stamping With Loll has done it for me.

The tree silhouette is of a Cabbage Tree - something that is very common here in New Zealand, and that I have had on various properties that I have lived at.

It's good to be back in 'blogland' - life has been challenging the last week and I have needed some time out from a lot of things.

This card was made using another nail polish background against a glitter card that was named Caramel - it's a soft gold with beige undertones.

I used a die from the ODBD Filigree Frames set to cut the base for the sentiment, which is part of the ODBD set Grace's Hope - it was stamped in Memento Brilliance Ink - Thyme Green

The Butterfly (Memory Box Pippi) was cut from some almost bronze toned paper that I had glued over some thin card to give it some strength.

I adhered some bronze rhinestones for the butterfly body and in the corners.

The base of the card was some kraft coloured card, with the edges sponged with Espresso ink.

On the inside I stamped two complementary sentiments from the ODBD Faith Card Sentiment set.

Decoupage Birthday Bears

Welcome

I would like to welcome two new followers - Cathy Kuntz via Networked Blogs, whom I don't think has a blog yet,  and someone who is not showing in the followers photos, but the count has gone up one, so I cannot give you a shout out - please let me know who you are so I may visit you.

This card was made for one of  my Great Granddaughters 😊, using a decoupage set from a magazine.

I assembled the main panel , and ran a line of Kindy Glitz around the edge of it

Stamped, embossed and die cut the sentiment on matching blue card, threaded ribbon through it, and added the rhinestones and Kindy Glitz.

This view gives an idea of the dimension on this card.
