Welcome back - it's great to know you have visited.
Believe it or not, this beautiful image is of a Silk Moth, not a butterfly!
It was manufactured by the now defunct Layers Of Color, and is one of my original stamps that I bought from overseas, and I still love it.
I stamped it directly onto the card base and gold embossed it before painting it with Twinkling H20's. The camera was unable to capture the gorgeous sheen the finished image has.
Some 'plum' sequins and a simply stamped and embossed greeting, layered over some lace, finished the outside of the card
The left hand side of the insert in the card was stamped with the same image in a soft pink ink.
I am linking this to:
(it's pretty enough to be a butterfly, isn't it? and there are no moth challenges)
(Lace, Stamp and Sequins)
This is an amazing image and I really love how you used it! An gorgeous card - so very elegant and I love the lace and embossed sentiment! And the sequins are a lovely addition to it! You made me happy to link to our theme at Moo Mania & More.
ReplyDeleteIt counts as a butterfly for sure!
Thank you for joining us Maxine! Have a happy start of the weekend!
Blessings

ReplyDeleteNice to See other Art about Butterflies for the challenge from Moo-Mania...
ReplyDelete...nice to meet you here!
So beautifully done Maxine! Love the second stamping of the Moth on the inside! A really lovely touch and the trim of lace across the bottom, a really sweet finish. Hope you're well hun. Are you planning on being at SENZ this weekend? I'll be there on the Saturday. I'm doing a mini album class with Imagine If, can't wait! Hugs, Wends xoxo
ReplyDeleteI forget about how lovely H2O's can be (if you can do them properly...I don't have the greatest of luck with these paints). Yours turned out splendidly, and look awesome with the gold embossing. This is a stunning image, and you really did it justice with the Twinkles and the gold embossing. TFS & Blessings.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Maxine! Simply wonderful! So glad you joined our Challenge at Word Art Wednesday. I hope you'll join us again soon. I want to leave you with the inspiration of God's Word in 2 Peter 3:9 which says, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." Have a blessed week.

This moth is exquisite and what super stamping and embossing and colouring. Love it. I also sometimes see a huge butterfly that is a moth but am in denial. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI insist on believing it is a butterfly but after seeing this card I kind of will accept that it is a moth. Lol.
