Dimensional Balloons

 Welcome

This card was made in a hurry - my mojo was running low and the order I was working on was running close to time, so I unashamedly cased a card from a magazine, using the stamps and some of the paper that came in that magazine.

I used a kraft layer under the image panel, rather than the colour suggested, and taylored my sentiment to fit the 'order'.

The dimensional balloon was constructed slightly differently, as I stamped on both sides of the layers, and ended up having two more layers that the original

I also die cut the clouds from Whimsy Stamps stitched cloud dies, and added three, not two, to the card.  The base of them was shaded with some grey chalks to add some realism to them

The inside was finished with another stamped balloon, and a Scriptural sentiment added.

I loved how this card came together and the overall look of it when I had finished.

  15. Magazine freebies have come a long way from the little clear stamps they used to be, to the sets of stamps and dies that are now given. Some of them are very useful and versatile too. This is a great card. Balloons are a very pleasing shape to work with, and I am always happy to have clouds too. A perfect choice of sentiment for inside as well. Kate x

  30. Sounds like you took this design and made it your own Maxine, so no shame is allowed! No shame is allowed even if you CASED it bit by bit! Our mojo goes on break from time to time or sometimes for a long time, but that is why we have our magazines and Pinterest to help motivate us! With that said, I have to say I love this card! The colors are perfect and so masculine. The hot air balloons are fabulous, but it is the 3D one that makes this a unique card. I love the inside as well and hopefully the birthday guy will love it too! Hugs, Brenda
