Embossing and Burlap

Welcome

Today is the day a new challenge starts over at Word Art Wednesday.

Our wonderful scripture, foretelling the coming of Christ,  is my focus this week.
I printed it out, and cut it with a Tim Holtz Stitched oval, trimmed off the outer edge, and then mounted it over a layer of gold paper cut with the same die.  (I learnt this tip over at Sew Paper Paint from the talented Autumn) The star was stamped and gold embossed as using the oval left room at the top for a wee embellishment.

This was mounted over a card base that I randomly stamped with a very old All Night Media stamp, and gold embossed.

The burlap and gold strip were added before layering the sentiment over it.  As the burlap is bulky, rather than bend the main panel, I added a layer of card under it, but left a gap for the burlap to sit in.  I am thrilled with the way this turned out, the gold and red look really rich together.

I am linking this to:

  2. Yes that's truly one wonderful verse Maxine will be adding it to my collection!! Would you send me the large size if you were emailed them please. I have trouble saving them in large file some reason. It just comes up black screen with it faintly in background.
