On Being Grandma

Welcome

This year I have been doing  "Grandma Duty" for a couple of hours, two afternoons after school, most weeks.  We have had a winter of damp, grey weather, and the two children  have not been able to get outside much, so my daughter and I came up with the idea to do some art on the afternoons I am there, so a couple of colouring books and pencils were invested in.

About that time I spotted the Simon Says Kids Summer Vacation Challenge, so to give an incentive for them to work, I told them of it, and they both responded well - although the younger child was disappointed that they were not going to America to put their entries in!

So here is Asher's entry (he is 7yrs old)- The background is a colouring page, the car I stamped out, and he painted it with Inca Gold paints

Here is a photo with the sparkle and shine on it

.

After cutting out the image, I trimmed the coloured page where he wanted it, he placed the (ready taped) background on the base (his colour choice), and  also placed the car where he wanted it - it was on foam dots.  Asher  had to take the backing off the sticky bits, which was a bit of a challenge for him.!
