Trees in a Row

Welcome

Thank you for visiting my blog again - it is much appreciated

This card was made sometime ago, but I forgot to blog it.  I started with the large stamp from the Stampin' Up set Lovely as a Tree (now retired)   This was one of my first SU stamps, and one of the most used too.  I stamped it twice, both times with only part of the image, to give me a row of trees.

I embossed the image in gold, and then lightly coloured the trees with sponges, using Memento Bamboo Shoot ink, and the 'grass' using Cottage Ivy.

When I first made this I was not happy with how the sky turned out, but I do like it now as it gives it some character and movement.

The panel was mounted over some corrugated card that I had torn one surface off, and then coloured with Inka Gold Copper

The sentiment was stamped and embossed in copper also.

  4. I absolutely love this Maxine, I'm a real Treeaholic and also love a bit of corrugated and the combination of both really make for a rustic natural feel. The tree stamp is my one and only SU stamp and gets used often.

  9. This is a beauty Maxine. I love the grass you sponged, it looks like the trees are casting shadows on it. And the clouds I totally get what you mean, there was a card on which I thought the clouds didn't look nice.. but to all those who saw it, thought that I was very skillful in making them so fluffy :D I get happy when such things happen, hehe.
