A Golden 50

Welcome

I hope you all  had a wonderful Christmas, or should you celebrate another festival, that that too was a precious time of family and friends, and love and laughter.

I had a family member turn 50 recently, and he does not like 'fussy' cards, like most men, I gather :)

I started by stenciling the background using Delicata Golden Glitz ink.

I also ran the ink pad over the wee molded accent piece, and it just caught the tops of the impression.

The 50 was die cut from golden sparkle card using Kaiser Craft Number Dies

The gold embossed sentiment was a magazine freebie.  I hand cut the banner, and the underlying snippet of the last of the same paper I had used (a snippet of) for the side decoration

The photo above gives and idea of the subtle sparkle this card has.

The final detail (inside the card) was the banner made from the last snippet of the design paper .

  5. Men are notorious for disliking fussy cards, well the ones that I know. This appeals it still had gold and sparkle and yet it’s still manly whatever that means!

  10. love the little bit of glitter and embossing. We know there is some fussy with all card making in embossing, layout and sentiment...love the little bit of glitter and embossing. Great card and nicely embellished male card for a "no" fussy man. He will definitely be pleased and not even know it's fussy...you used the right combination of embellishments to please him I'm sure.
