Brushos and a Lighthouse

Welcome

A  clean and simple (CAS) masculine card to share today,
made for a man who loves his salt water/ deep sea fishing.

My starting point was the brushos panel that I made earlier in the year in a fun session with a friend - that was when I was introduced to SparkleITs. You can just see the iridescent sparkle from this angle.

The panel was placed behind the MFT peek-a-boo die cut, and the fussy cut light house image on the edge of the aperture.
I deliberately kept the stamp plain, apart from some light colouring on the grass and cliff face, and some Glossy Accents on the 'glass'.

The sentiment (a magazine freebie) was silver embossed and the silver ribbon was the only embellishment.

This inside was finished with the light house stamped in London fog ink.

  4. I'm a big Brusho fan Maxine, one of the few crafty things (along with Pan Pastels) that I still use regularly years on. It's a super masculine card and perfect for our 'Men and Boys' theme at Penny Black and More, thanks so much for joining in.

  9. What an awesome design you've created, Maxine! That background is incredible and perfect as a backdrop for the lighthouse. I love the gorgeous blue card front and silver ribbon. The schparkle and shimmer must be incredible in person, but it's still a very manly card!! Hugs, Darnell

  10. Wonderful masculine birthday card Maxine. The brushos panel is gorgeous with it's sparkle. Love that you have the lighthouse left white ... lots of contrast and it really pops off the brushos panel and your deep blue card base. Great work! xx

  20. You never seem to have a problem when it comes to a masculine card. Something I struggle with.
Love how you used that panel behind the lighthouse and I do think you were right to leave the lighthouse plain - but what a great touch the Glossy Accents was.
The ribbon finishes it off perfectly.
God Bless and keep you safe, Neet xx
