Red, White and a Touch of Gold

Welcome

A quick post this evening, that will most likely be my last until after I am moved... I am knee deep in boxes at the moment!!

This card was made for my small swap group, where the challenge this month was to use the
Stamp Etching technique.

I had trouble finding an "open" image that was large enough for the technique, and ended up using one from a magazine set, which included the die and sentiment

I stamped the image using Memento Ladybug ink, and the etching lines were made using a standard ball point (Biro) pen, as my fine art pens are packed - I was nearly cross eyed by the time I finished it!

The sentiment was stamped in the same ink, and I hand cut the banner and inked the edges.
The ribbon was layered over the embossed panel, then the rose and sentiment adhered.

  6. This is gorgeous Maxine. You aren't the only one who had issues finding an open stamp - I ended up using a digi stamp that had a few lines and adding heaps more. I like the sheer ribbon that you used which adds some interest without taking away from the beautiful flower.
Good luck with your move. Hope everything goes well and you are soon settled in your new place.
