Lady in Red

Welcome

This card was made for a young woman who loves black and white, and is very fashion conscious...

The side panel was made with a new die I purchased when supporting a new local business... well that's my logic, and I'm sticking to it - it's a Nellie's Choice  layered Combi Die, Squares by Nellie Snedden.
I had to do some extra passes to extend the die cut to fit my card

The fashionista is an unbranded die. I layered the gold under the lace pattern parts of the dress, and also winked it, but the WoS pen was just on dry, so I was not very successful...

The sentiment was stamped and gold embossed onto a snippet of black card, then cut into a banner shape.  Some gold faux stitching formed the final detailing

I finished the inside with a strip of red washi tape.

As I was working trying to get some good photos in the brighter light by the doorway,
my buddy photo bombed....

  6. This is so stylish. Wonderful die cuts and super choice of colours. I love how you have placed your elegant lady along the edge. It is a great card, but unfortunately it won't be considered for a top pick at we love Chocolate Baroque because stamping is not the main focal point. Thanks for sharing it with us though xx

  8. Pretty card Maxine. I like the gold highlights too. I like the dies that you used. The lady one has the vibe of Tattered Lace dies.
