Bittersweet ........

Welcome
(Edited) This will now be altered to a sympathy card - they didn't make it... by 10 days.
Why should an anniversary card be bittersweet - because this will be the 63rd, and last, barring a miracle, anniversary for this couple, as one has a terminal diagnosis...

The background was made using the SS Simply Love text stamp

The flower was stamped, gold embossed and fussy cut and had some Mustard Seed DI brushed onto the base of the petals

The leaves were die curt from some paper that I had brushed various green watercolour paints on,  and then sprayed with a gold mica spray.

I stamped the sentiment with the same green ink in the background stamping, trimmed and then I wiped the edge over the Mustard Seed ink
I tied some sparkly gold thread around the stamped base three times, and mounted the sentiment over that.
The main panel was mounted over white card that I had inked direct to paper in the green along the edges, than it was mounted over the yellow base

The inside was finished with some washi tape in greens and yello0w.

  22. You are the Queen of embossing, Maxine. I still struggle (and probably always will). I popped by to take a closer peek at this pretty card because I saw that it was the WINNER over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies. What a treat to win that wonderful prize. Pick out something FUN.
    Have a blessed week,
    Karen
