Butterfly Sympathy

Welcome

I am finally home, for two nights, and then I am away again - this time I am flying and travelling with a cabin bag only, so the computer is staying home... so you won't 'see' me here for a while.

I enjoyed making the background for this card - I blended Memento Bamboo Shoot and two Catherine Pooler inks,

Then placed an ARTplorations Flutterby stencil over it, and dabbed water through it to remove the die ink and create the  soft images

The sympathy stamp, a very old one, was silver embossed on dark blue card, the panel mounted to one side of the same blue base, and a strip of some 'chrome' rhinestones adhered on the side of the base, and various others were added to the butterfly 'heads'

To complete the card I stencilled a butterfly onto the corner of the envelope in the same green ink

And finished the inside with some silver washi tape

  18. Glad you got home for a couple days Maxine and I hope this next trip is for pleasure. Beautiful card Maxine, love the blended colors and the butterflies. always hard to make sympathy cards, hate that they are needed, but a fact of live. I just made one with blended ink as well and a sympathy too. Enjoy your trip my friend, and again I hope it is for pleasure this time! Hugs, Brenda
