No 1 Teddy

Welcome

This is my first ever Teddy Bear stamp, and I still love it, so when stuck for an idea for a first birthday card for my youngest G Grandson, it came to the rescue - again.

The teddy was stamped and embossed, then watercoloured, with blue being added to his paws, and blue gems for his eyes and tummy button.   The image was fussy cut before being mounted on foam dots

I sat him just above the sentiment banner, and popped a candle to indicate his age beside him.  It is a two layered die cut, so I used gold behind, as well as gold embossing the sentiment and layering the banner over the same gold paper.

The background panel was sitting on my desk... it is in need of a tidy...

I stamped another bear, almost as old as the first, on the inside, and as he was a different stamp, he was coloured differently.

I also used the second image for the envelope - partially because I could not see the original for looking - needless to say I found it as soon as the card was finished!

I am linking this to:
There are three gems on teddy.
(The focal stamp of the Teddy is close to 20 years old)

  26. Doesn't that happen so often, we search and search for something and as soon as we use something else the original turns up. Not to worry in this instance as both stamps are adorable.
I love how you used blue gems and coloured the teddy bear's pads blue. It matches in so well with the candle and this is such a lovely card, I bet his parents were thrilled. It's a keeper.
