Daisies. Brushos and Shaving Foam

Welcome

This is my post for the mid-month of the We Love Stamping Challenge, where the current optional theme is "In The Garden",

This card started with a sheet of shaving crème print - for this print I used Brushos to colour the foam.

I cut it to the shape of the base and mounted it onto the white card, having coloured the edges of the card using the direct to card technique with Catherine Pooler's Aquatini ink .

The daisies were stamped and cut with the Newton's Nook Dainty Daisies stamp and die set.

The flowers were painted with Twinkling H2O's, and a few sequins added for extra sparkle

The inside set of flowers were adhered toward the top of the card section, and the sentiment stamped in Memento London Fog ink, to match the stamping in the flowers

The outside sentiment (A magazine freebie) was stamped in the Aquatini ink to match the edges

The centre inside panel was left blank for a hand written note.

  1. Amazing card Maxine, I have never tried to use brushos with shaving foam, only acrylics, but I will have a try, how beautiful is your paper! Lovely flowers and folding too!

  4. What a pretty card Maxine. I love daisies and they always look so crisp and clean on a card.
The background you made is perfect, not too much colour, just the right amount. I love shaving foam backgrounds, might have a few done next week, it's not too taxing.
Well done on a lovely card, shape, colour, imagery.
    Blessings, Neet xx

  20. What a beautiful card Maxine! I love how you took ink and made your white cardstock base look like it was colored cardstock, just a beautiful color and I would have been none the wiser if you had not said. The shaving cream/brusho's background is amazing looking! I have not did this technique in years, but lately was turned back on to it, so shaving cream is on my grocery list. LOL Love the daisies too, one can never go wrong with daisies in my opinion. LOL Gorgeous card! Hugs, Brenda
