Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat..

Welcome

Yes, some more cats - this time they are the stars of the card.
The card was made for a friend who dearly loves her cats.

The card I used for the background panel has a very fine speckle, and I am not sure if it was some that was inadvertently sprayed, or came like that.  I don't recall ever having card like that in my stash, so think it may be the former!!

The cats were diecut from a snippet of black card, , and sat over the sentiment panel, which was popped up on some foam tape.

The stamp is from Hero Arts, and was silver embossed over a snippet cut from some 'mop up' card.  The edges were also embossed.  The front was finished with some silver faux stitching.

The inside was finished with a couple of foliage die cuts from Gummipan, cut from green snippets, to reflect the recipients interest in house plants.

  9. What a lovely card Maxine - love the black cats - and the speckled background is almost a piece of art in itself. - very neat if it's a piece of scrap from spraying. Love the foliage you added too - I see that Gummiapan has got to you as well! Very nice choice too.

  10. I was going to say what amazing splatters you achieved on that panel, but if you can't remember how they got there perhaps they were just a happy accident. I have such a lot of trouble with splatter that I always notice them. Lovely CAS card, silhouettes always work so well xx

  12. What a fabulous CAS card Maxine! I love, love, love that background paper, it is perfectly speckled! Your cat dies sitting on the sentiment are too cute, perfect for a cat lover. Love the stitching going around too. Such a simple but so effect design! I am finding that I am falling in love with Gummiapan dies, haven't bought any but there are plenty on my wish list! 14. You have created a wonderful birthday card for a cat lover. The random pattern on your card looks like confetti to me, which makes it perfect for the birthday theme. I like how your CAS design makes the background shine without taking the attention from the centerpiece - the two cat silhouettes on the birthday banner. The silver details are a perfect touch for your card, and make the project look very festive. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.
