Welcome
Thank you for taking the time to visit.
I enjoyed 'playing' with this stamp and technique, and loved the outcome.
I first stamped the image, part of the Phenomenal Butterfly stamp by Chocolate Baroque, in Versa Mark ink, then brushed copper Perfect Pearls over it
I loved the background it formed, but, there was an oops in the middle...
So I cut an oval in the centre, lined it up so I could position the sentiment stamp on the card base, stamped and embossed it in copper ep., then cut a butterfly from a copper coloured glitter card to fill the oval
The feature panel was mounted over the coloured base card - the above photo gives some idea of the shimmer of the perfect pearls
The inside had a verse stamped in brown ink on the left side, and the right side left blank.

Good for you saving the card -- it turned out really pretty. Thanks for joining in at AAA Birthday
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card. I do like seeing embossing although I must confess I rarely do it myself these days. It was what first got me into stamping.
ReplyDeleteYou managed to turn around your Oops moment and turned out a lovely card instead.
Blessings, Neet xx
Wow Maxine, this is gorgeous! I love that background you did, loving the technique and the stamps you used. That chocolate baroque by versa mark looks gorgeous but then you took it up a notch with the copper perfect pearls! Just so pretty and elegant looking. You deal with your "oops" perfectly and no one would have been the wises if you hadn't told on yourself. The butterfly die cut from the copper colored glitter paper goes so well with your background. Love the birthday sentiment with the mixed fonts. Then there is the scripture inside, just beautiful! I am in love with this card! Hugs, Brenda

ReplyDeleteHi Maxine:
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card. I love the stamped background, the inside sentiment, the glittery butterfly and the entire design. Thanks so much for sharing this with us at Word Art Wednesday. I always appreciate you so much.
Regarding the water issue, I completely understand your feelings. In areas that receive too much water/rain, people would prefer to see less. In areas that get to little water, people (for the most part) want the rain. I just praise God that He knows exactly what we need and will always provide for us. PRAISE GOD!!! And by the way, if you ever really want a HOT sunny vacation, just visit Las Vegas in the Summer. I do have an extra bedroom (or four) and I'd love to have you visit. Enjoy your days, whatever the weather, and happy crafting.
Gorgeous verse on this stunning card, background and coloring, as always a pleasure to view. Lovely details here x
ReplyDeleteWhat an ideal way to cover a mistake! Your card turn out so lovely! Thanks for joining in with us at PIP Challenges!

The inside scripture is so beautiful. If only we all practiced it, the world really would change. I am bad about NOT doing many of the principles. Your card is gorgeous. I love the color, and butterflies are one of my favorite themes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful soft looking card. Just perfect.
