Owl Birthday Greetings

Welcome

Thank you for once again visiting ...

This card was made for a young man, not far off his university studies.

The image is another freebie from Gecko Girls, printed and trimmed to fit the card - I also added ink to the edges of the image to make it stand out, and distressed the edges.

I added some dimensional glue to the eyes, edge of the main clock face and the head of the key.
The sentiment was embossed using a mix of copper and gold ep that I mixed some time ago.

The background was copper metallic card with a wee bit of glimmer in it.
The die is an old Memory Box corner die, and some of the more central gears I trimmed off, to be able to add some to the corners that were a bit stark, to make it look as though the whole card base was covered with the gears.

The insert was stamped with some saw blades masquerading as gears...

I used the same stamps on the envelope

  2. An ideal card for a young lad Maxine, perfect colours for Steampunk as well, a theme that terrifies me.

  3. What a beautiful coloured image! And great how the cogs fit with it! A good male card ( and we know that isn't simple for that male age groupe...) Hugs, Gerrina

  4. I love your steampunk owl Maxine. He is very masculine - somehow he has that look. I do like the way you have centred him at a slight angle so that the gears can be seen underneath, peeking out with the Birthday greeting.
    Lovely embossing.
As always you add those perfect finishing touches to the inner and the envelope. I am sure he was delighted with this card.
    Blessings, Neet xx

Fabulous glossy dimensional details and well done with the added gears to make a full background! And you made also the insert and the envelope! A lot of work, but such fab result!
