A Ruby Bloom

Welcome

This card was made as a CASE of one I saw online, but I cannot recall where I saw it, as I made is some months ago... if anyone recognises it, please let me know

I started by stamping the main image on an angle, then cut a white frame using S/B nesting rectangles - plain and scalloped and placed  the frame 'square' over the image
(from memory the original had the image square, and the frame angled)

I then stamped the flower portion of the stamp again, painted it with Twinkling H2O's, fussy cut it and adhered to the corner of the frame

The sentiment (a magazine freebie) was stamped directly onto the card

  5. This is so pretty, Maxine. I sometimes tend to forget about my (older) wood block stamps. Your card turned out so beautiful. In fact, there is a challenge specifically for using our older wood block stamps. I think it's run by the same gal who runs the coffee hops (Amy T). I will try to find the link for you in case you'd like to link up this beautiful card in that challenge.
Have a blessed week, and happy crafting.

  11. I really like the theme and design of this card and envelope. I have several music themed stamps and have colored all of them but could very come up with a design I liked. The DW used them. You always amaze me with the interior and envelope designs.

    Hugs and Blessings

  12. This card design is beautiful and your detailed process really brings it to life. The layered frame technique, combined with the painted flower and the sentiment, creates a lovely, personalized touch. It’s great how you adapted the original idea with your unique angle and details. The addition of the flower on the inner card and the matching envelope edges adds a nice cohesive element.

If anyone recognizes the original card you CASEd, I’m sure they'd love to know where it’s from!
