Welcome
No I have not fallen off the edge of the world -
First I lost my USB stick with my photos on,
Then I just plum got busy... culminating with a long weekend away with friends...
This card was created as an exchange in a card swap here Down Under, and the challenge set was
White, with a Pop of Colour
I think I might have overdone the colour a bit, but the recipient loves it.
I was really pleased with the result
The 'smile' is an old M.B. die, and the daisies are John Next Door (NBUS) die I have had for some time and only just used.
The paper is from a rainbow sheet of paper that I have had for longer than I care to remember, from the days when I bought patterned paper by the sheet when I found it, then came the pads....
I trimmed both the inside of the card and the envelope with the scraps.
I also forgot to take the photos until after I had written in the card and on the envelope, hence the pieces of paper covering parts of them.

Simply stunning Maxine. Love the beautiful pop of colour on your white background. Just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOf course the recipient loves the card, Maxine. It is stunning! Hope you will find your USB stick, my friend. Kisses!
ReplyDeleteHi Maxine! Great to see you! I'll have to disagree with you about overdoing the color ~ I think it's just right! Very sunny and uplifting and perfect hues for a card that's sure to bring a smile! The rainbow is a mwah bonus! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS, no matter how young or old! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI love this card, it is so sunny and bright, should make the recipient feel on top of the world when it is received.
ReplyDeleteThinking back.it was easier when we bought paper byj the sheet - now we all have lots of paper we keep not using. Always more in the pad I dislike than like. If not then it is too nice to use. I am so contrary.
Blessings, Neet xx
I love the bright colors together! A great card! Hugs, Gerrina

Hi Maxine, a beautiful card, I was thinking I have some card like that, it came from k-mart before they left the area about 25y ago, love the daisies, reminds me of rising sun badges the ANZAC soldiers wore. Have a wonderful weekend... Megan
ReplyDeleteVery pretty in the rainbow colours Maxine and it makes you smile just as the words says.

I think you covered the challenge really well Maxine - that card really pops right out at you! Well done! Its so annoying when you lose things like these USB sticks - how did we ever manage without these darn things. We had no internet for 48 hours & I am ashamed to admit I really missed it!!
