Welcome, from a very 'wintery' New Zealand.
Last week New Zealand was lashed with a storm with its origins in the South Pole - it was cold, wet and wild, and for a lot of the country there was also snow!! Since then we have had one sunny day (in our corner) - and it was not today, so when I went to photograph this card, I could only take one shot without the flash, and this is it.
I did take some close-ups, but the flash distorted the colours.
The sentiment was from Word Art Wednesday, and I added faux stitching, extending it over onto the doily, which was layered over some washi tape.
The final details were the bakers twine and sponging around the edge of the card to match that on the sentiment and doily.

I had my fingers crossed that the power outages would not be for long or not at all. And no one would be foolish enough to go out in that weather
ReplyDeleteThis is a beauty, Maxine! I printed this out to use this week and have run into that little thing called "lack of time" lol! Stunning work! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I especially like the combos of Washi Tapes you used. The red filigree and the musical tapes are so pretty together. I also like the touches of green on the edge of the doily. Altogether lovely!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to encourage others... love your sentiment!
ReplyDeleteGlad you tied it and played with us this week at Digi Makeover.
Hugs,
Ardilla :)
Fantastic card! Great sentiment and I love the design! Thanks for joining us at Cupcake and good luck! Delphine xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful Maxine! The Word Art you used- lovely : ) The music and the Washi are perfect accents!!! We are in summer here as you know- and are having lots of wicked rain storms- so it is humid..... I am thankful for the rain- for the crops and flowers....!
ReplyDeleteMaxine I LOVE this card!! I love the music / script in the background. It really gives it a great collage style look. I also love the colors and how instead of putting the die in the middle, it is off to the side!
ReplyDeleteA very good reminder of our faith. And a different combination seeing the bright red with light blue.
