Pink Poppies and Butterflies

Welcome

In a previous post I mentioned a poppy stamp that I had coloured twice - here is the other colour-way.

This was coloured with Prismacolor pencils and blended with baby oils.

I trimmed the image down from the original size, and ran the edges along a spun sugar distress ink pad.

The sentiment was stamped with the same ink, and the edges of the panel also swiped along the pad. I used a spellbinders embossing folder for the texture.

These panels were then mounted over a piece of dp that I had trimmed to form a banner.  I sponged the edges of that with tea dye distress ink, and also the edges of the base card.

A few pearls randomly placed (very hard for this right brained perfectionist) and some tiny butterflies and the card was finished.

  1. Perfect placement of pearls on a beautiful card. Know exactly what you mean about random placement - I just can't get the hang of that at all....but yours are great!

  5. Absolutely gorgeous, Maxine! I love poppies, and this stamp is a particularly nice design. Your colouring is great - I've never tried blending the pencils with baby oil, so that's on my to-do list now!

    Have a lovely weekend,
