Welcome.
I am always glad to see you have visited.
I went to a craft fair this past week, and indulged in some new supplies, which included some stencils.
This afternoon I spent the afternoon 'playing' with them.
The following cards are the results from one stencil.
The stencil has various clock faces and hands on it, and I used Orchid, Coral and Lavender Pearlescent inks to stencil onto white card.
This done I then sprayed it with a silver glimmer mist, and over-stamped it with a watch image using Platinum Pearlescent ink.
I wanted a masculine card, so added some washi tape over some of the pink inked area to mute it, computer generated the sentiment and cut it using a labels three die, sponging it with the Lavender ink. I cut another die cut and sponged the corners and mounted them cross wise and on foam tape.
After mounting this on a dark blue base some black pearls finished the card.
I also computer generated the inside sentiment "Your Birthday"
The other card was made from the balance of the original card. I stencilled some butterflies from a negative die cut from a new die, using the same three inks up the edge of the card, and also sponged the edges.
I added this sentiment as it fitted the theme of the card.
Some random placements of pearls finished this card after it was mounted on a light purple base.
I am linking these to:
Card 1 - Masculine
Card 2 Feminine
Thank you for visiting, and any comments left are deeply appreciated.
May your day be blessed.
Lucky you to get to the Fair. I want to go down to Hamilton, but we had family staying over night on Sat. This stencil looks awesome. What sort is it? The pearlescent inks really shimmer with the mists

Nice that you managed to get to the fair. I enjoy going to our stamp shows in our area. This year I even had tickets but was unable to go.
ReplyDeleteYour stencil card turned out really pretty. Looks like a stencil that you will find lots of uses for.
I like to use stencils. I have used them with copics...for zentangel, with embossing paste...glitter...and pens...etc.
Playtime with the stencils turned out to be a winner! This is beautiful, Maxine! So very pretty. Wish I'd been with you for the fair too.
