Mademoiselle La Chat

Welcome
I am not trying the "100 cards and 100 blog posts in 100 days" challenge, but I had fun today working on a TAT (Try A Technique) Challenge in an online stamping group I belong to.

The TAT challenge this month is to use the Salted Background Technique
I tried various combinations of water colours and ink on card stock, watercolour paper and glossy card, with varying results.

This card was made with one of the less obvious results, having used watercolour paints on plain cardstock, the moisture absorbed into the card too much before I put the salt onto it.

This is probably the most obvious corner where the salt took effect.

After the card was dry, I sprayed it with a silver glimmer mist, and then over-stamped it lightly with a script background stamp in Desert Sand ink.

I then inked up some stamps I won as some blog candy - the set is by Hero Arts, but I don't have the name, and cannot find it on their website.

The cat is a digi stamp from Andy Bauer that I have had for ages, and I just could not resist using it on this card - I love that cross-eyed supercilious look on it's face!!

I coloured it with chalks, then embossed the crown from the HA set, and the wings from a (retired) Layer of Color set and added them to it. The final details were the sequins - oh I am loving them at the moment!

Totally whimsical and not my usual style at all, but I had fun!!

Thank you for visiting - any comment you may leave is deeply appreciated
May your day be blessed
