Welcome - Thank you for visiting
I wanted a 'no fuss' style of birthday card recently, and I was inspired by this card by blogger Maureen Merrit, and here is my CASE. It was the layout that attracted me.
I started with the patterned paper - a scrap of an Amy Tangerine design, then matched the blue in the design for the base.
I was not entirely happy with the basic card, but did not want to detract from the design, so I stamped using bubble wrap and Versamark ink and embossed the results with clear embossing powder. This definitely added the interest I wanted, without detracting from the paper.
I was then at a loss as to how and where to add the sentiment, and came up with this diecut from the Lacy Circle set of dies, which was sponged to echo the dots on the card base.
I was quite happy with the results.

A great card Maxine, which I must admit, I prefer to the original - because of the colour combo I think. You've made good use of the bubble wrap which gives just the right amount of interest without swamping the rest. Well done. Kate x
