Twinkling Hoot

Welcome

Thank you for popping in.
I have not been here for what feels like weeks - a slight exaggeration I know, but I have been caught up with LIFE at the moment - that busy time between cardmaking and blogging!

I had fun with this card - using up scraps from my box and challenging myself to work with a black sparkle paper I bought last year.

The branch is one from 'Foot Long Stamps' and being transparent, I was able to bend it to 'fit' the card before I stamped it, then cut around it, trimming a leaf to leave space for the owl to sit on.

The Owl is an Itty Bitty Jilli Bean Stamp from Unity Stamps. I stamped it on various scraps to paper piece it.  I coloured the eyes and dots on the hat with various sparkling pens I have.

The images were mounted onto the black background, and silver stars added in the background.

The sentiment was stamped on the blue base card and embossed in silver.

  2. Excellent Maxine. Life is sometimes demanding. Card making can be the release for its stresses. By the way I LOVE OWLS.
