Shades of Blue

Welcome

I had some studio time the other day, and started with inspiration gained from the Simply Less is More Challenge to use three colours or three shades of one colour, and a video tutorial I saw the other day, where using an acrylic block as a stamp was demonstrated.

The colours I chose were three distress inks, Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Denim.

I started with the lightest ink and stamped a few paint splats in the lightest shade of ink.

I then stamped the blocks of colour using the side of the acrylic block and all three shades of ink.

The sentiment is an old one that I stamped in black ink.

A final look at the completed card.

  13. BEautiful design, Maxine but our rules that that you must use a rubber or digi stamp that you have hand colored in order to qualify at Aurora Wings. In fairness to all, I'm afraid it will have to be removed. I'm so sorry. Hope to see you again. xxD
