Chugga Chugga Birthday

Welcome - today I have another post for the CCC Digi Challenge
and this time our sponsor is
Oak Pond Creations

I chose this image, the Oak Pond Train.
The challenge is to use a digi and your favourite colour, which for me is green.

The image was printed out and coloured with watercolours and also some Viva Gold Pastes in Gold, silver and bronze. The image was then fussy cut and mounted on foam dots to give some dimension.

You can see some of the sparkle on this photograph.  I created a simple scene behind the train using coloured card and chalks, and stamped the sentiment onto the hill above the recipients name.

I used fun flock to add texture to the "smoke clouds".

The sun was one of a pack of foam shapes I have had for ages!

The 'train track' was once a fence die cut with one side trimmed, and then coated in bronze Viva Gold paste, this was mounted over a strip of silver glitter paper, to mimic the gravel usually found under the rails.

I am linking this to:
(The smoke is going backward, indicating the train is moving forward)

Thank you for visiting - any comments you may leave are deeply appreciated
May your day be blessed.

  14. Hi Maxine...You've created a great scene in this card, my friend! Wonderful layering, indeed! Thank you for linking your card to our Challenge this week at Word Art Wednesday. I want to share with you God's Word in Isaiah 43:18-19 which tells us, " "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." Have a wonderful day filled with the blessings of the Lord Jesus!

  15. Gosh, this is impressive. There's so many intricate details, textures & great dimension on this card. Love your ideas on the tracks & gravel, it certainly did give that look. The use of the paste on the track (and inspired use of your fence die) made it stand out very well. It's a cute image, and love the sun. You put a lot of extra design details in this one, and it just goes right over the top! The recipient will love it too. Great pencil coloring, BTW. TFS & Hugs
