Welcome
When I saw this image that Paulette at TLC Creations shared for Valentines day, I loved it immediately. I have not used it as a Valentine, but as an encouragement card.
I wanted to mount it on an angle, and although I printed it fairly large, it worked - I used a brown card immediately behind it, as it bought out the colours in the image.
I then placed that over a blue layer. it was a reject piece from another project, so I used the debossed side and it worked perfectly to add interest as well as pick up the dash of blue in the image.
All the edges were sponged with gold Delicata ink, which gave it a slightly grungy look.
Lace and bling was used to finish the card - there was a mistake in the (hand made by me) lace, you can see the start of it at the extreme right edge of the photo - which I left in there deliberately, and stated why to the recipient when I sent the card.
I had thought of the person I sent it to as soon as I saw the image, and she loved the card.

ReplyDeleteHi Maxine, Just saw your link over at Irish Cherokee so was able to quickly surf over to enjoy your pretty card. Love that image, and your mat layout behind it, wow! The angles add a lot of interest to an already nifty card. I love it when something can be repurposed that didn't work properly first go-round. You've done a stunning card with this one, and I especially like that sentiment. Very much encouraging too! TFS & have a great day. Hugs
