Stitched Heart

Welcome

Life has thrown me a few curved balls these past few days, but I am back!!

I really enjoyed making this card - I was inspired by a valentines card in a magazine I was given, where there were three 'threads' of  hearts, with only one heart layered. This is my 'take' on it.

The background is from a Prima Printed Kraft pad.  I stamped the sentiment and embossed it with white EP.

I cut the heart from S/B die d'lights - the filigree was cut with white card and sponged with Gold Delicata ink, the solid layer was cut from a mid-pink glitter card.  I attached them to the kraft layer by piercing the layers and then stitching them down.

I finished the card by doing a line of faux stitching around the edge and adding the pearls.  Although both the embossing and the faux stitching showed white in the photographs, IRL they were a creamy shade for some reason, which is why I used the champagne coloured pearls.  The kraft layer was mounted onto an off white base.
